Who is this course for?

Design engineers, stress analysts and reviewers working on ASME Section III nuclear pressure equipment.

Learning objectives — by the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Classify components per Article NB-1000
  • Identify Section III requirements for materials and select materials for construction (Article NB-2000)
  • Identify the applicable requirements for component design (Article NB-3000) and apply them through case studies
  • Identify applicable requirements related to manufacturing processes and their impact on component design and development (Article NB-4000)

Requirements to access the course

Familiarity with Section III (CP-020 or equivalent) and basic stress analysis is recommended.

In-person course — at a date and location agreed with you, or at a venue indicated by us in accordance with the C&P calendar. Course materials include the delegate handout (PDF). Selected introductory presentations can also be delivered by distance learning.

Certificate

All attendees receive a course attendance certificate. Auditor-grade courses include a final examination — successful candidates receive a qualified-pass certificate aligned with the audit qualification requirements of ISO 19011.
